Our Statement of Faith

Our Christian Statements Of Faith

GOD’S REVELATION God reveals Himself as a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – three Persons in One God.

THE HOLY BIBLE The Holy Bible is God’s error-free word, personally spoken to mankind, revealing His nature.

JESUS CHRIST Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for the world’s sins, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and will return for believers.

MAN AND SALVATION Man, created in God’s image, fell into sin, spiritually lost, but can receive eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

PRESENT AUTHORITY OF JESUS Jesus, now seated alongside the Father, is accessible through prayer and fellowship.

Our Mission

As followers of Jesus Christ, Be Love! Orphan Outreach Missions (BLOOM) serves orphans and vulnerable children worldwide with programs that address their spiritual, emotional, physical and educational needs. Through our programs, we come alongside these children and their communities as partners so they may be empowered to break the yoke of generational poverty.

Our US-based Board, staff, and volunteers, along with our Ghana and Pakistan Project Managers, all share a Christian foundation. We’re rooted in Christian ministry principles, guided by Jesus Christ’s example. United in spreading God’s love, we serve widows, orphans, and vulnerable people as beacons of hope and compassion. While our foundation is Christian, we don’t judge or impose beliefs on those we serve. We do express our faith and seek alignment from our “Mission Team” members, who come from diverse Christian backgrounds, united in our shared statement of faith and mission dedication.

Our Vision

Our vision is based upon the following points derived from God’s Word:

COMMISSION
BLOOM seeks to reach out to orphans, widows, and vulnerable children and serve them using whatever gifts we have received as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10). We do this by providing programs designed for children and their communities to experience the love and knowledge of Jesus so they can know Him and become disciples themselves. Each ministry partner will play a unique role in the disciple-making process, knowing that everyone in the body of Christ is irreplaceable (1 Cor. 12:12–26; Eph. 4:11–16).

1 Peter 4:10     Eph. 4:11-16     1 Cor. 12:12–26

CALLING
BLOOM seeks to serve orphans and widows in their distress by providing opportunities for others in the body of Christ to come alongside us to fulfill this calling in accordance with God’s word.

James 1:27

CARE
BLOOM desires to be intentional in the way we care for those we serve. We work through local Christian leaders to identify and meet needs, with a focus on empowerment and self-sustainability. Our programs are adapted to the different cultures and needs of each community, while preserving the dignity of those we serve.

Matthew 18:5

COMMUNITY
BLOOM partners with local ministry leaders on programs that address the spiritual, emotional, physical and educational needs of orphans and vulnerable children within their communities. Through job creation, farming, educational programs and other special projects, we empower local leaders to serve the people in their care.

Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for the least among you, you did not do for me.

Matthew 25:44-45

Did You Know?

It is estimated that there are between 143 and 210 million orphaned children in the world.

This includes both “true and social orphans*.

*A social orphan is a child who may have one or more living parents, but the parents are unable to care for the child due to physical or mental illness, drug or alcohol abuse, or extreme poverty. These children are either living on the streets or are institutionalized.

A true orphan has no living parents.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately 125 million adult women in the U.S., and about 119 million adult men. That means if each family in America (or at least half of the adults in America) sponsored or adopted just ONE child, the orphan crisis would no longer be a crisis. Supporting a struggling birth parent with an educational opportunity so they could find a job and afford to feed and clothe their child would keep families together and kids out of orphanages.

If each person reading this page took action, even in a small way, the orphan crisis would be manageable or nonexistent, and each child would no longer be a statistic. They would finally be able to live and enjoy a normal childhood rather than having to be in the workforce to help support their families.

What If We Each Made The Choice To Look These Children In The Eyes, Instead Of Looking The Other Way?

As Christians, WE, the body of Christ, should band together and care about solving the orphan crisis as God commands. Widows and orphans are our neighbors whom God tells us to love “as ourselves.” It’s religion from a pure and undefiled heart! Consider the following statistics….and TAKE ACTION today!

Every 15 Seconds A Child Becomes An Orphan.

5,760

The number of children that become orphans every day.

17.7M

This is the estimated number of children worldwide that lost one or both parents due to AIDS. Most of these children live in sub-Saharan Africa.

14,505,000

The number of orphans who "age out" of the system worldwide (by age 14-16) each year.
